Intestinal failure in neonatal and pediatric patients is associated with substantial morbidity and mortality, most commonly caused by necrotising enterocolitis1, affecting 1 in 1,000 premature babies2.

Current management includes the formation of double enterostomy and patients will often present with high-output stoma losses resulting in dehydration and malnutrition and may require ongoing parenteral nutrition support.

Baby with The Insides Neo - fistuloclysis, distal feeding, best, alternative to parenteral nutrition, fistula, ostomy, ileostomy, chyme, enteral, oral nutrition, enteromate, intestinal failure, colon cancer, bowel cancer, gut cancer, ostomy appliance, high output, chyme, dehydration, defunctioned, ileus, lars, microbiome, lower interior resection syndrome, incontinent, incontinence, gut health, reversal surgery

The Insides Neo is a purpose-built medical device for performing chyme reinfusion therapy in neonatal and pediatric patients with intestinal failure

The Insides® Neo Adapter & Plug

The adapter clips onto the Housing, outside of the ostomy appliance.

The Insides® Neo Housing

The feeding tube is connected to the Housing and is threaded into the ostomy appliance and is pressed into the bottom of the ostomy appliance

The Insides® Neo Clip

Historically, the mortality rate of necrotising enterocolitis (NEC) is as high as 50%3, making it one of the leading causes of death in preterm infants and is associated with life long morbidity and reduced quality of life4

The Insides Neo offers significant benefits compared to the current standard of care, including:
